In a War

Big News!

We have come to the realization and decision that God is calling us back to Kenya full term. It has not been an easy decision, but one that He has been revealing to us, and shown us in so many clearer-than-clear ways that this is where He wants us to be. We feel peace that this is right. And we are very excited about coming back to this beautiful land that we have grown to love so much.

The thing is…as soon as we made this decision, life got hard. I mean confusing. Painful. Emotional. Stressful. Strange. Discouraging.
Hard.

I mentioned something about this in the last post, but the reason I am writing about it again is because I am asking you, begging you, pleading for you to PRAY for us.
Right now.
Please.
We still know with all our hearts that God is asking us to come back. That is too clear for us to doubt. But satan has literally been working over-time to cause us to give up. A thought that is not too far from the surface many days. The timing is no coincidence. We know this. And we are not giving up. We are ready to fight. But we need your prayers. For every aspect of our lives.

I know that this is personal and a lot of information to put on a blog like this, but we feel that you need honesty. So that’s what we’re giving you. We hope that when you read this, you stop whatever else you’re doing and pray for us. God is fighting for us, this we know. We just need enough strength and courage to persevere.

Strength and Courage.

Yay, you're returning! You're sticking it out, committing to the long term and that's just why the enemy has you in his crosshairs now. We will be praying!! We have that Pirates quote on our blog too :)

We are praying! Your Mom told us of your decision at the family campout. I think that's wonderful and one of my first thoughts was, "Maybe I'll have enough time then to go to Mitumba with them someday!" We love you and are so glad you are being used of God to touch so many people's lives there even if it is hard at times. "Set your minds on things above..." So glad we can touch your lives through the power of God in prayer. ~Gert

"The Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen and protect you from the evil one. We have confidence in the Lord that you are doing and will continue to do the things we command. May the Lord direct your hearts into God's love and Christ's perseverance" 2Th 3:3-5

God, thank you for using Trevor and Andrea in such an awesome way. Thank you for the heart you gave them for your people in Kenya. I pray right now that you will protect them from the enemy. He's acting up cause he sees how your kingdom is advancing in and through their lives, but thank you that we know he is already defeated. Protect Trevor and Andrea. Give them strength, perseverance, courage, and clarity to see your plan being rolled out in their lives. Protect them, father, for the work you have planned for them to do. In Jesus' name and through His blood I pray. Amen!
